I’m Elinor!

Born and raised in Iowa City, Iowa. I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 2018 with a BFA in Studio Art Photography.

I’ve been an avid artist ever since I can remember. From a young age, I knew that creating art was my purpose. In my teenage years, I discovered that photography was my favorite medium and realized its full artistic potential. In 2012, I was gifted my first camera. I would use my friends and family as models and even myself when my creative urges couldn’t wait. Not to be dramatic, but that camera really did change my life.

For the longest time, I wondered what made a great photographer. Is it the expensive camera and equipment, or maybe the extensive education and the fancy extra letter on your degree? The answer became clear to me. Everyone can take a photo, but not just anyone can capture a moment. While those things help make up a photographer, what is consistently remembered is how you tell a story through an image.  

I truly believe that a good photographer isn’t just about beautiful photographs, but also how they make you feel from the moment you're in front of the lens to looking through your photos years down the road. How you remember your experience is just as important as how it’s captured.

I've had the pleasure of capturing families, couples, large events, cosplayers, and so many beautiful people from all walks of life. Each one has a unique story and a special place in my heart. 

My mission is to create an overall amazing experience and outcome for my clients.
